Our Trustees

The trustees of The CIFA Trust bring a wealth of experience to the charity from various fields and are all unpaid volunteers. Each trustee covers his or her own expenses and adheres to a strict code of conduct, including The CIFA Trust’s Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy. The board is comprised of:

Anthony HoveyAnthonyHovey

Anthony has a Masters degree in Tropical Agricultural Development. From 1984 to 2004, he worked full-time throughout Africa and in North Korea with a number of non-governmental organisations, as well as the UN, World Bank, and the UK’s Department for International Development.

Amanda Caine (Treasurer)

Amanda is the Trust’s Treasurer. A chartered accountant, she has worked in senior finance positions within the charity sector for many years, including Oxfam and FARM-Africa.

Vince has worked in overseas development for many years. He is currently a Livelihoods Advisor (Agricultural Adaptation to Climate Change) with the UK’s Department for International Development.

 

 

Luke Harman (Chair)Luke

Luke is a Social Protection Advisor for Save the Children UK and has a background in international development research, with a PhD focusing on agricultural and health subsidies in Africa. Luke also holds an MSc in Development Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and previously worked as a Researcher and also in Fundraising.

 

Simon Green

Simon GreenSimon works as a fundraiser for large UK health charity. He holds a degree in Development Studies and Anthropology and has prior work experience with permaculture in Brazil.
