March concert

Join Abigail Johnson and Simon Locke for an evening of light music for Piano and French Horn in aid of The CIFA Trust. The varied programme should cater for many tastes and will include music by Gershwin, Debussy and Cole Porter.

About Abigail and Simon:

Abigail Johnson has a busy and varied career as a freelance pianist and teacher, working at all the major music colleges as an accompianist and regularly plays for master classes working with soloists such as Natalie Clein, Jeremy Menuhin and jazz specialist Scott Stroman. Abigail's recent solo performances include Beethoven's 4th Piano concerto and also music by Brahms, Liszt and Debussy.

Simon Locke pursues a busy freelance and teaching career with many different ensembles and regularly with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra and English Festival Orchestra. Simon was trained at the Royal Military School of Music under Alfred Cursue and has played with BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The Halle Orchestra, Royal Ballet and Sadlers Wells Opera, as well as in London's West End for My Fair Lady, Sound of Music, Oliver and Phantom of the Opera.
